Details

Duratorque is asuperior suspension system that is suitable for fitment to and use on all typesof trailers. Using specially formulated rubber cords as a springing medium,Duratorques are totally self-contained and easily fitted to the trailerchassis. Because the two sides are not connected, each wheel is independentlysprung.

All Duratorquecomponents are either galvanised or electro zinc plated for protectionagainst corrosion.

From July 2011,1000kg to 1750kg versions are fitted with a bolt in replaceable stub axle.

SINGLE AXLE OR TANDEM.

If Tandem then the carrying capacity of each Duratorque is to be reduced by 25%

Carryingcapacities for duratorques are 1000kg, 1500kg, 1750kg to 2200kg in both  two  piece  and  full  beam  types and3000kg version in full and drop beam. These capacities are for single axleapplications. When mounted in tandem the capacity must be reduced by 25% i.e.two 1500kg full beam duratorques  will  carry  2250kg. Notethat duratorque half axles are each labeled with the total capacity per pair,not each  side.

All duratorquesare able to be fitted with non braked or braked hubs. These brakes can behydraulic disc, 1500kg, 1750kg, 2200kg and 3000kg capacitiesor Electric drum brakes in 1500kg, 1750kg and 2200kg capacities andhydraulic drum brakes in 1250kg capacity.

Itis recommended  that  Duratorques  be  mounted to  the trailer with the swing arms  trailing. When mounted  in tandem the distance between the tyres be kept to a minimum andshould not exceed 150mm. The distance between the top of the tyres and themudguards when  the Duratorques are new and unloaded should be at least120mm. When mounted in tandem the front axle should be braked.

When orderingfull beam Duratorques remember to supply your required length measurementA,B and C as shown in the diagram below.
