It uses expertly designed induction motors without carbon brushes, making the bow thruster motor maintenance-free. It’s in-built over-temp and low battery protection, combined with the brushless induction motor enhance resistance to abuse, ideal for even the most inexperienced boater. This is controlled by proprietary CANBUS protocol and utilizes the same proven and tested propellers and gearboxes used in Vetus thrusters for over 30 years. The thruster is also made with the same tunnel size as current Vetus thrusters and many other brands, so upgrading is a breeze.
