The new Daiwa Spartan SJB64-3 Slow Jig Overhead Rod features all the best components and technology which deliver unmatched performance. Beginning with a HVF Nanoplus graphite blank which is lighter and stronger thanks to the nanoplus resin, Spartan SPJ then also receives the X45X Full Shield treatment, reducing twisting under load thanks to increased torsional stiffness. It also features Daiwa's patented 3DX carbon weave on the lower most section of the blank increasing lifting power.
Outfitted with Daiwa's Air Sensor reel seats, the Spartan SPJ Rod is incredibly lightweight and when paired with a reel such as a Lexa HD or Saltiga LD provides a compact yet powerful outfit capable of dishing out plenty of hurt. Fuji stainless steel silicon carbide (SiC) guides manage line flow effectively and the clever adjustable EVA pad in the split section means you can protect the rod when travelling in your boats rod holders.
X45X Cobra Shield
An evolution of X45, Cobra Shield features a Bias Wrap carbon weave on the exterior of blank to eliminate twist and help the blank maintain its round profile. The result is a new level of rod strength, power, and weightlessness.
3DX
3DX supports the lower power section of the rod by knitting densely packed carbon fibres in 3 directions to achieve a six-wrap rectangular weave. Power through the blank under load is distributed evenly in all directions allowing it to maintain its profile and form. This process confines the rod's power to the lower section of the rod, increases power, eliminates blank twist and collapse, all the while reducing angler fatigue.
Air Sensor Reel Seat
Daiwa's carbon fibre reel seat that's minimal in weight, yet high in strength and sensitivity. Our ultimate high-end, high-performance reel seat.
HVF Nanoplus
Through the use of nano resin control technology in the blank construction process, Nanoplus allows for increased graphite density to be achieved within a graphite rod blank.
