Monocoque Body
MQ Body takes reel design to the next level. The MQ system does not require a conventional side plate, instead of using an engine plate to screw directly to the body. Eliminating the need for screws to hold a body cover in place. MQ body improves the strength of the reel, it also improves the water resistance of the body and allows a larger diameter drive gear to be installed.

The Rod
The heavy-tackle Daiwa 20 TD Saltwater Spinning Jig Rod is developed to meet the demand for high-quality saltwater rods. The heart of the TD Saltwater begins with Daiwa's BRAIDING-X graphite technology: a graphite tape which is applied to the butt section of the blank. Wrapping in this style adds a level of stiffness and rigidity to the overall blank construction without the added weight and diameter of a whole extra layer of the HSD graphite cloth.
