A day or night long-range distress signal
The
Pains Wessex Cruiser Flare Pack is ideal for
vessels cruising within popular areas such as the gulf, sounds and
Lake Taupo where islands and hills necessitate the need for
altitude signals. This kit contains 1 Para Red Rocket, 2 Pinpoint
Red Handflares and 1 Orange Handsmoke Daytime Signal in a
convenient floating flare pack polybottle
Red Handflare Mk8
The
Pains Wessex Red Handflare Mk8 is a hand-held,
short range distress signal used to pinpoint location by day or
night. Burns for 60 seconds at 15,000 candela. Features a unique
telescopic handle making it very compact and space saving when
stowed in a liferaft. Easily extended and pull wire operated.
Aurora Orange Handsmoke Mk2
The
Pains Wessex Aurora Orange Handsmoke is a hand
held marine distress signal for daytime use only which indicates
position and wind direction. The smoke emits a dense cloud of
vivid, expanding orange smoke. In clear visibility, this cloud is
visible for up to 60 seconds at more than 4km away, when viewed at
sea level. Strong winds will reduce visibility range.
Para Red Rocket Rocket Flare Mk8A
The
Pains Wessex Para Red Rocket Rocket Flare Mk8A
conforms to SOLAS 74/88 as amended. Designed to withstand
exceptional environmental exposure and to perform reliably even
after immersion in water, the pull wire ignitor and improved grip
provides easy handling. Ejecting a red flare on a parachute at 300m
(1000ft), burning for 40 seconds at 30,000 candela.
