It features diagonal ribs on its drum to maximize gripping power and to greatly reduce line wear. When easing, the angle of the ribs stops your line from rising which prevents overrides. It also provides a smooth controlled release as the line exits the winch. Its self-tailing mechanism allows you to quickly and easily trim or raise sails. Plus, if you want to go electric, you can upgrade it to an electric winch.
