Heavy-duty back box enclosures
The Hubbell Back Box Enclosure is designed to give the maximum amount of wiring capacity to achieve grounding to metallic conduit. The back boxes are available nonmetallic and cast metal and accepts both the Pin&Sleeve and Watertight Safety Shroud, Twist Lock.
The nonmetal back box is made of high-grade engineered thermoplastic that's chemical-resistant and protects from UV rays. It has an integral grounding plate and is Type 4X (hose directed water, corrosion resistant) when installed with a watertight conduit hub.
The metal back box is made of cast aluminium and finished with an enamel paint. It will withstand a 500-hour salt spray as well as UL raintight and external icing tests.
