The Reel
The Daiwa Saltist SD 40H Star Drag Overhead Reel looks stunning and is designed to handle whatever is thrown at it. It's made from machined aluminium and anodised in a sleek matte black for maximum corrosion resistance. The true freespool of this star drag system allows for longer casts under a variety of conditions and uninhibited spool pay out is ideally suited for fishing live bait. The 6.4 to 1 gear ratio is fast enough for jigging yet powerful enough to put big fish on the deck.

Utilising Daiwa's famous Digigear technology - the Saltist SD uses larger gear for perfect gear meshing and ultra smooth performance. Featuring stainless steel ball bearings for maximum corrosion resistance and a centrifugal braking system for ultimate casting control, the Saltist SD's casting performance is effortless. Combined with a large carbon-fibre drag system that provides a smooth 10kg of drag pressure, the Saltist SD is ready for any challenge.

The Rod
The Daiwa Saltist SJ 56-50/80B Overhead Jig Rod accepts the challenge and flexes its muscle to intimidate and dominate like only Saltist can. Rigorously designed and tested, and loaded with the pedigree and features that have made the Saltist name famous, this rod series has it all.

This rod uses a graphite/fibreglass construction with uni-directional wrapping, a process created to enhance the design and manufacture a blank that is incredibly resilient, and has the immense backbone and lifting power to control and lead strong fish. Complementing the blank is titanium oxide guides, EVA grips, hooded reel seats and rubber gimbals.

The Braid
Perfectly suited for spin and overhead reels, the Daiwa X4 J-Braid Multi-Colour is colourfast is metered in 10, 5 and 1 metre increments making it ideal for offshore applications like jigging and popping. Every fisho knows that supreme line management is critical for longer casts with less knots. J-Braid PE boasts all of that, with a smooth, round profile design, that wraps neatly and evenly onto the reel spool.

The casting distance of J-Braid 4 is complemented by its thin diameter - but don't be fooled! Despite being thin, J-Braid is strong!
