The Reel
Upgraded for increased power and enhanced durability, the new Shimano Stella SW 10000 PG Spinning Reel represents the pinnacle of innovation for Shimano reel technology and fish-fighting performance. This flagship reel features a range of upgrades including Infinity Drive for light and powerful winding, and the upgraded Heatsink Drag provides superior drag performance under extreme heat.
A waterproof rating of IPX8 is achieved through X-Protect and X-Shield with the aluminium Hagane Body acting as a rigid and super tough outer shell. A new and improved rotor design makes this reel lighter than the previous Stella SW models. The 10000 PG model is geared for jigging.
HAGANE Body
HAGANE Body means this reel has a high rigidity and zero twist. The body stiffness and impact resistance virtually eliminates body flexing. The result transforms the anglers actions directly into cranking power. It's efficiency through strength.
HAGANE Gear
Hagane Gear is at the very heart of the reel and creates strength and durability. The entire cold-forging process is calculated in minute detail by special 3D design and the result is precision durability.
X-Protect
By combining Shimano's water repellent coating and Shimano's specially designed, water channeling labyrinth construction, X-Protect provides high-level water resistance without sacrificing light gear and rotor rotation.
X-Ship
By supporting the pinion gear on both ends with the S-ARB bearings and integrating bigger drive gear, Shimano increased the gearing efficiency and power. This results in a fishing reel with ultra-light handle rotation; less effort and power giving a perfect rotation even under heavy loads.

The all-new Shimano Abyss SW Spin Jig Rod is a dynamic, lightweight yet very strong tamer of the powerful blue water species like Kingfish, Bass, Hapuku, Tuna, Billfish and the mighty Broadbill Swordfish. It's engineered not only to look awesome from the tip to the butt section but also completes MSL tests of well over specified line ratings at 45 degrees and 60 degrees respectively.
