The NITECORE SC2 Fast Universal Battery Charger charges your rechargeable batteries lightning fast! This universal charger boasts well-thought-out features designed to optimize your charging experience.

Speedy Intelligent Charging
The SC2 can charge a battery at up to 3A current in a single slot, meaning it only needs 1.5 hours to completely charge a 3000mAh Lithium battery. It can automatically select the most appropriate charging current using automatic battery capacity detection. Manual selection is also available, letting you choose the charging current from 0.5A, 1A, 2A and 3A to manage the charging speed as you please.

Revolutionary Upgrade for IMR batteries
With extremely low internal resistance, IMR batteries may be overcharged which may lead to safety issues when charged in regular Li-ion batter chargers. To address this problem, the SC2 incorporates an optimized IMR charging system that is able to monitor the entire charging process, ensuring end voltage is always within safe limits which ultimately helps extend battery life.

IMR Battery Restoration
Upon insertion of an OV IMR battery, all eight LEDs on the SC2 will blink to indicate that it’s not ready for charging. Press and hold the button over its slot until its power indicator blinks to enter Recovery mode. NITECORE recommends disposing the battery if it fails to be recovered after several attempts.

Intelligent Detection
The SC2 can automatically detect non-rechargeable lithium batteries to eliminate potential safety problems. The main purpose of this function is to identify completely discharged CR123 batteries in case such batteries are inserted for charging, which could lead to explosion.

Overtime Charging Protection
The SC2 will separately calculate the charging time of each battery. When the overall charging time exceeds ten hours, the SC2 will automatically stop charging and display a fully charged status. This is to prevent possible overheat or explosion due to battery quality issue.

Reverse Polarity Protection and Short-Circuit Prevention
When a battery is inserted with polarity reversed or is short-circuited, all eight LEDs on the SC2 will blink to urge the termination of charging.

Ultra compatible with USB Devices
The SC2 is ultra compatible with USB devices. Without a battery charging in CH2 slot, the SC2 can charge an external USB device at 2100mA maximum USB output.
