The Gull NZ Pine Wooden Oars are made from beautifully finished, fine quality wood. They're strong, robust and durable, yet lightweight and easy to handle. The tough composite paddles enhance the oars’ performance and rugged reliability. Every oar is a perfect specimen and the perfect partner for your next water adventure.

What length do you need?
As a general guide the oar length should be 40 - 50% greater than the boat's beam. Some of the variables that may affect the length required are, distance between rowlocks, the free board (height of boat sides), sea state, wind strength, rowers strength, skill and experience. Longer oars allow for greater rowing efficiency. Shorter oars might be better suited to the novice rower.
