In a SeaTalk installation, a backbone cable runs through the length of the boat. So if you require a new cable or if you just need an extra length, then get yourself the Raymarine SeaTalkng Backbone Cable. The backbone carries both data and power to attached devices. It should be sized so that it will run past every location where an NG or NMEA 2000 device might be installed. Make sure your cable is long enough to cover your entire network.
Two backbone cable lengths can be joined together by part A06030, a backbone extender (sold separately).
