The Reel
An overhead reel for jigging, bring the latest addition to the OCEA JIGGER series - the Shimano 20 Ocea Jigger 4000 Overhead Reel, on your deep sea and off-island expeditions. In addition to being able to hold up to 1200m long of a PE 3.0 rated line, the outer diameter of the palming side of the reel has been made smaller and this makes the reel much more comfortable to hold. The 4000 size retains the solid construction and winding/cranking performance of the JIGGER series. The drag force can be more precisely adjusted with the large star drag on the reel.
The Rod
The Shimano Game Type J B538 Overhead Jigging Rod is popular among jig fishing enthusiasts. This 1 piece rod is rated for use with a PE8 braid and features a high carbon blank which is incredibly light yet strong. The blank is made with a Spiral X and high power inner and outer weave, making it robust and lightweight. The rod is also fitted with Fuji series SIC guides on stainless frames, a Fuji reel seat and custom-shaped EVA grips.
