The Reel

With 43kg of Cross Carbon Drag output and able to retrieve line at an astonishing maximum speed of 170m/min, the Shimano Beastmaster MD 12000 A Electric Reel is ready to tackle monsters of the deep. The strongest and largest electric reel in Shimano's history, the Beastmaster MD 12000 was born with the goal of achieving full-fledged deep water and overwhelming power and speed for catching huge fish.
The heart of the powerdrive train bearing the name MD (Monster Drive) is the newly developed new GigaMax Motor with significantly improved performance. This motor utilises a brushless design to provide high torque and high speed while maximising durability. Meanwhile the Heat-Free system allows for heat to be released from the vents in the sideplate, ensuring reliable performance. Finally, the addition of the new Fine Dot LCD screen allows for easy viewing in all light conditions.
