The Shimano Calcutta CT 400 B Backbone Medium OH Slow Jig Combo combines two powerful Shimano equipment for a superior slow jigging experience. It gives you the hardworking Calcutta CT 400 B Overhead Reel, matched with the incredibly strong Backbone Medium Overhead Slow Jig Rod. Boasting state-of-the-art Shimano technologies and features, this ruggedly constructed combo will not disappoint.
The Reel
The Shimano Calcutta has been a longstanding workhorse in Shimano's stable of quality reels. The Shimano Calcutta CT 400 B Overhead Reel features an anodised body and spool to stand the pressures of regular saltwater use. This reel also has a multi-disc carbon drag which dissipates heat in the drag evenly and exerts very high drag pressures. It also features a larger style handle with rubberised grips, Super Stopper, Assist Stopper and runs smoothly on Shimano's A-RB Bearings plus one roller bearing.
The Rod
The favourite Backbone series of rods just got an overhaul. The new Shimano Backbone Medium Overhead Slow Jig Rod is now stronger than ever, with a higher quality blank, good quality componentry and a new slick design that's bound to please.
