The Reel
The general purpose Shimano Sienna 4000 FG Spinning Reel is designed to cover all manner of light line situations, from bait fishing to soft plastic and hardbody lure casting. So if you're just starting out in fishing or the kids are showing some interest that requires more sophisticated than just a basic handline, the Shimano Sienna 4000 FG Spinning Reel is perfect for you. Finished in a black and red cosmetic, this rod matches great with many of Shimano's fibreglass and graphite rods.
AR-C Spool Management System
Through tens of thousands of casting tests and computer simulations it has been determined that this new AR-C spool lip design provides longer casting distances than a standard spool lip design while preventing backlashes and wind knots from forming. It also allows the line to flow off the spool in smaller loops during the cast, which means less slap on the stripper guide. This means longer casts with less friction.
Dyna Balance
This feature eliminates wobble during the retrieve by counter balancing the rotor to enhance sensitivity and smoothness. By using computer balancing, an approach similar to car tire balancing, Shimano is able to redistribute the rotor weight to create smooth rotation and eliminate vibrations caused by the reel.
The Rod
The Shimano Aquatip Spinning Rod comes from the popular series of Shimano's best value for money products. Designed with a roller tip that provides quality performance when reeling in big fish, this rod works great during saltwater fishing. It features well-shaped EVA grips and hooded winches that ensure reliability. The new striking finish also makes the rod look better and tougher.
