The Reel
The TiCA Tempest TT2500 Spinning Reel is TiCA’s flagship reel expertly engineered for softbaiting for Snapper or spinning for Trout. With a maximum drag capacity of 5kg and designed for use with braid or mono, this reel will handle anything those lurking monsters can throw at it. It features a waterproof aluminium main body, cover, and rotor and a forged aluminium alloy spool.
The TiCA Tempest TT2500 Spinning Reel’s main shaft is made from hardened stainless steel for strength, then encased in 8 sealed precision stainless rust resistant ball bearings (RRB) to keep it all running as smooth as silk. An instant anti-reverse roller bearing in the rotor, anti-twist line roller and a huge waterproof carbon drag keep the braid under control while fighting your fish. The high speed 5.2:1 retreive ratio recovers 72cm per handle turn. This reel is also supplied with a hypalon comfort grip. Designed for the Japanese slow jig and softbait market, the TiCA Kazumi Spinning Slow Jig Rod is perfect for casting light lures to hungry NZ Snapper or Trout. The 2.4m nano-technology blank is built light and strong to ease the pain of all day casting sessions. It has the sensitivity to feel the lightest take and the power to subdue Tica's biggest fish. The slimline blank is suitable for casting lures in the 15g to 55g weight range with line rating up to 8kg or PE1.
