This is achieved through all-composite reinforced polymer materials and multiple attachment options. Their precision design provides the optimum number of ball bearings for minimum friction while weight reduction is achieved through the use of fibre-reinforced composites in the block head, cleat arms and beckets.

- Lightweight, the lowest weight possible in orbit

- Multi-sheave blocks have only single intermediate cheeks and an
ultra-light and efficient head arrangement.
- High compression grade Acetal ball bearings and a secondary
full-contact bearing
- The sheave and bearing system is supported by a
fibre-reinforced load frame, computer modelled and optimised using
advanced stress analysis methods
- The Dyneema Link, used in multi-sheave blocks, is produced from
high spec SK75 fibre, which is 10 times stronger and lighter than
steel, and provides the final connection from the block to the load
point
- Simple, versatile and secure attachment
- The single block is easily lashed to an attachment point, and
can also accept Dyneema Links and shackles for a variety of
efficient attachment alternatives
- Low profile and compact
- Ultra low profile thru-sheave becket
- Low friction 2-stage ball bearing system provides consistent performance over the full working load range
- Strong, lightweight fibre-reinforced cleat arms optimised at
the required cleating angle
