Hand tools used to apply copper and alloy swages to rigging wire. Jaws are made from alloy tool steel, hardened and tempered, pre adjusted ready for use. After a period of time wear in the handles may occur. Adjustment for this wear can easily be made by turning the jaw bolt arrow inward one notch towards the centre of the jaw. For correct adjustment, check that the handles spring open after closing to leave a gap of approximately 7mm between the handle stops.
