Infinity Drive
Rotational resistance is reduced by 60% due to a complete redesigned Pinion Gear Support structure, improved drag clicker mechanism and a reduction of the reel's total resistance.

Silent Drive
From the fundamental, whole body design to the most intricate parts, every piece has been carefully reviewed, and the smallest clearance gaps and wobbles have been eliminated to the highest tolerances.

X-Shield
By placing sealing gaskets in 12 critical locations throughout the rigid aluminium body, Shimano created a water resistant structure that can hold up against the toughest conditions and fish Mother Nature has to offer.

The Full Carbon Monocoque rod butt is made of hollow carbon construction, eliminating the use of EVA from the rear grip. This results in a very lightweight construction that is extremely sensitive and improves vibration transmission through the rod blank to your hand when working a lure. To provide the exact balance between power and finesse, the Zodias continues to feature Shimano's Hi-Power X graphite blank and Ci4+ Reel Seat. The Shimano Zodias Extra Heavy Spinning Rod also features upgraded Fuji Stainless Alconite K guides with a SiC tip. Carbon Monocoque
