The new Shimano Aerlex 10000 XSB Long Cast Surf Reel offers a vast improvment on the previous model. This long cast big pitt reel is designed to help you achieve maximum casting distance to help reach waters that occupy coastal species. It features a long cast ARC spool which allows for minimum spool lip friction for casting and line release. An additional bearing on the main gear improves the overall smoothness of rotation plus the handle has been upgraded to machined aluminium to improve overall strength. The Aerlex XSB also features a worm driven oscillating system (Aerowrap II). This offers a much slower oscillation and more consistent line lay, that is essential for spool release and casting distance. So if you want to go the distance, the Shimano Aerlex 10000 XSB Long Cast Surf Reel is perfect for you.
The Rod
The Shimano Vortex Surf Rod is a dynamic and versatile rod that has been designed to fit directly into the Kiwi lifestyle. This rod features a Power-Carbon blank specially designed to take the knocks, an integrated glass tip so as to retain sensitivity from the bite to the fight, and also enhance overall performance without compromise.
These features allow Kiwi anglers to take full advantage of the more traditional bait fishing techniques including the perfect match for the Shimano Baitrunner series. The Shimano Vortex Surf Rod has been designed by Kiwi fishos for Kiwi fishos - it's as simple as that!
