The Shimano Dialuna S76M Medium Freshwater Spin Rod thoroughly pursues performance beyond its class, evolving further like never before. It adopts a Spiral X and high power X blank structure to produce a lighter weight and increased power while maintaining strength and rigidity. With a regular fast taper, the tip section offers excellent operability while the middle and lower sections retain the power to effectively manage high-load situations when casting and fighting.
The new carbon monocoque grip provides additional weight and increased sensitivity. Thanks to this, the sharpness and responsiveness have been greatly improved, and anglers can readily detect changes in water flow and understand the swimming actions of the lure. The Dialuna has now evolved into a rod that allows anglers to enjoy high-precision applications, realising a new feeling of operation at will.
Emphasising on accuracy of casting and operation in close to medium-range battles, the Shimano Dialuna S76M Medium Freshwater Spin Rod is the standard all-round model that covers most inshore lure fishing applications. Suitable for casting a variety of lures in the 7-38g range and manipulating metal jigs up to 45g. This model is also ideal for use with PE1.5 lines and 15-25lb leaders.
Spiral X
Through its exclusive lightweight structure, Shimano's patented Spiral X construction enhances catching power for anglers. Spiral X construction consists of three layers: a middle layer of vertical fibres as well as inner and outer layers, both comprised of carbon tape that tightly winds the blank diagonally in opposite directions. By using this carbon tape in place of a conventional horizontal fibre sheet, Spiral X achieves enhanced compression rigidity and increased torsional rigidity without adding extra weight. This in turn facilitates instant power transmission for precise casting and fish fighting.
Carbon Monocoque
Carbon monocoque grip is a carbon-moulded grip that is lightweight with high sensitivity, transferring even the smallest vibration to an angler’s hand. It increases sensitivity by 30% compared to traditional rod handles and utilizes a hollow structure that eliminates unnecessary parts of the rear grip to improve weight reduction and vibration transmission.
Hi-Power X
Hi-Power X construction uses diagonally-wrapped carbon tape to form an array of "X" shapes on the rod blank's outermost layer. The width of the tape, its winding angle and the part of the rod being wrapped are fine-tuned according to the target fish species. This manufacturing process allows Shimano to adjust these wraps during construction for precise actions, enhanced overall strength and added twist resistance. In short, Hi-Power X construction delivers sharp and crisp rod control for the angler.
CI4+
CI4 is a Shimano original material reinforced with carbon fibre that is lighter and has a higher strength than conventional resin material. CI4+ is an advanced version of the original CI4 material and is 2.5x more rigid than its predecessor. While improving lightness and rigidity, reel bodies, rotors and reel seats built with CI4+ are further reduced in size and weight.
