TRYCD started when Composite Development's Tom Johanson worked on developing the ALLROD case and rod systems. This stemmed from the simple frustration of how long it took to access fly rod components and how difficult it was to safely travel with fishing gear. In 2017, after years of testing, TRYCD was born.
