The Rod
Designed to meet the demands of discerning Kiwi anglers, the Shimano Salty Advance Light Spinning Rod uses Shimano's TAFTEC technology in the blank, giving it excellent strength and sensitivity. It features Fuji stainless K guides and SiC tip to minimise troubles occurring from lines. These quality materials make this rod super sensitive, yet sturdy for awesome lure fishing.
TAFTEC
Shimano TAFTEC tips use a pre-stretched T-3500 directional yarn fibre with low resin saturation. This directional alignment of the fibres results in much less damage during the grinding process and results in a spineless construction which tests have shown to be much stronger, lower in weight, faster in action and more sensitive. TAFTEC tips are used where sensitivity is an important requirement of the rod.
