The Okuma Kotare OH Slow Jig Rod is developed by Okuma to provide the highest level of performance. It’s made from the highest modulus carbon combined with the best components for a lighter, stronger and more responsive rod. The Kotare’s 46T carbon construction is coupled with Okuma’s patented UMR (Ultimate Matrix Reinforcement) technology to maintain high sensitivity without compromising durability. With the UMR technology, the rod maximizes the materials’ performance, reinforcing the rod while minimizing weight.

At a length of 6ft 6in, the Okuma Kotare OH Slow Jig Rod is designed specifically for chasing snapper and other species on “slider” type lures of any size. This rod is extraordinarily lightweight and sensitive and yet is still capable of going toe-to-toe with New Zealands’s hard fighting sports and table fish. Its soft tip action makes it perfect for working sliders. When loaded, the rod’s midsection ensures pulled hooks are kept to a minimum, while the butt section has huge power reserves to stop fish in a hurry if needed.
