The Rod
The CD Rods Haku Topwater Spin Rod is specially designed in New Zealand for taking on one of the hardiest fighting fish on the planet - the Haku aka Yellowtail Kingfish. It sports a super high-modulus 46T graphite blank and the finest Alps and Fuji components. Lightweight and extremely powerful, the rod is built specially for stickbaiting with a slightly softer action through the tip to ensure that even the most temperamental high-end lures are easy to fish. The Haku features parabolic action when loaded up, while the lower section allows you to put extreme amounts of pressure on the fish to turn its head in a hurry when needed.
At 8ft 3in, this CD Rods Haku Topwater Spin Rod is the ultimate big fish weapon, perfect for taking on XOS New Zealand Kingfish and other large species of predators. With a casting weight up to 160g, you can deploy the big guns and have the stopping power to back them up. The rod is ideal for boat and shore-based fishing and being a 3-piece rod it’s easy to transport. The lightweight blank means you can keep casting all day. The Haku is ideally paired with a 140000-20000 sized reel for properly stopping big fish.
