Designed for sharp darting action
As a result of extensive research undertaken by eging pioneer Yamashita, it has been identified that Squid recognise temperature variations in the water. The Yamashita EGI-OH LIVE Neon Bright Squid Jig is developed to take advantage of that. Featuring a patented thermo-storage cloth called 'warm jacket' that transfers any light into heat for a more natural appeal. It has the capacity to hold heat similar to natural fish making it more successful in attracting Squid since they can recognise temperature variations when hunting prey.
The Yamashita EGI-OH LIVE Neon Bright Squid Jig also features a patented slim nose design that minimises water resistance when hopped giving the jig more action with less effort. The EGI-OH LIVE jerks alot sharper when you lift the rod, generating a much better 'walk the dog' action. It also features large flat eyes with 490GLOW, super fine spikes, and blade sinker to reduce resistance in the water.
490GLOW Eyes
For many years, Squid anglers all over the world have used jigs made of all sorts of glow material. Japanese research discovered that the best wavelength of visible light for Squid is 490nm. Each Yamashita Squid Jig has 490GLOW eyes for optimum visibility underwater - even in low light conditions.
Warm Jacket
The light to heat transfer is made possible by the new material called 'Tactywarm' which is weaved with a unique thread that is able to change light into heat. It can absorb light from sunlight to artificial light, changing it into thermo energy about 0.5 degree Celsius to 1 degree Celsius warmer in the water, depending on the conditions.
Neon Bright - next generation UV ray reflection appeal
Keimura body (UV body) usually reflects in the blueish light wavelength. But the light wavelength variation in the new Neon Bright series now includes red and green. The UV reflection colour of red, green and blue allows you to have a colour rotation depending on the situation.
